It means that I believe in collective and individual healing. I don’t just look at you in a vacuum. I recognize how systemic racism, colonial history, and family expectations impact your mental health. I prioritize your safety and agency, ensuring you never feel "pathologized" for your survival strategies.

Think of the first session as a "vibe check" We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in now, what your goals are, and most importantly, see if we feel like a good fit. There’s no pressure to "perform" or have all the answers—just come as you are.

It might feel a little new at first, but my style is more like a "real conversation" than a clinical interrogation. We’ll move at your pace. If you’re nervous, we can start by talking about your latest form of joy to get settled (like a book or game).

I hear this a lot from high-achievers. While venting has its place, my goal is transformation, not just talk. We use a "top-down" (CBT/DBT for immediate coping) and "bottom-up" (IFS and trauma-informed work for deep healing) approach. This means we address the symptoms keeping you awake at night while doing the deeper work to ensure they don't keep coming back.

There’s no "one-size-fits-all" timeline. Some clients find that a few months of skill-building is enough for them, while others prefer long-term work to unpack deeper intergenerational patterns. We will check in regularly to make sure the work still feels valuable to you.
